THE SOFT NEST THAT YOUR DECEASED PET DESERVES
As a full member of a family, the loss of a pet can be very painful; And mourning is anything but easy. To mark its important place in our hearts, Nidoo suggests to leave an indelible trace of its passage by creating a vegetal place of remembrance.
This moulded cellulose coffin allows you to bury any animal of less than 8 kg in your garden with two seed pods so that it revives in the form of tree and flowers. A beautiful tribute for the one who brightened your life and shared your kids' childhood.
NIDOO, A POETIC CASKET FOR A HEALTHY GRIEVING
You think that there's no other choice but cremation or burial in an pet cemetery! But did you know that you could bury it in your property under some rules? In the end, your pet will never be too far from you.
It must be said that the practice of gardening creates a material link and provides a psychological help since the plants symbolize the second life of the animal. Nidoo is therefore a more poetic much more gentle alternative. Especially if it was that of a child! You will watch him grow up again, you can cherish it again, spend time with it, and tell it about your day.
Felix or Lassie will thus become an Eucalyptus, a Paulownia or a Potentilla surrounded by honey fields flowers, which will be pollinators' corner. A real living place!
A GREEN AND MADE IN FRANCE ALTERNATIVE
Nidoo comes from Castelsarrasin, not far from "la ville rose" while the seeds come from Puy-en-Velay in Auvergne. It is therefore guaranteed 100% French. As for its material, it is recycled from unsold newspaper fibres for a biodegradable soft nest.
HOW TO USE NIDOO?
Create your place of remembrance in a few simple steps.
1. Peel off labels (made from pine fibres from Landes in Bordeaux) and untwist the strings.
2. Put the pet in the lower part.
3. Close Nidoo by re-sticking the labels and tying the strings.
4. Lift the label and take the pods in the lid cavity.
5. Bury Nidoo.
6. Place the pods 1 cm below the surface of the ground without removing their water-soluble labels.
All you have left to do is watering the place from time to time to keep the pods wet. You will see the first tips of the tree and flowers after a few weeks!

HURLU is a Bordeaux-based design agency co-founded by Laura Iriart and Arthur Trichelieu. It develops products that respond to sociological, ecological and technical issues.
The tree after life
Peculiar project for Laura and Arthur, Nidoo wants to be more responsible and anchored in social and collaborative values. They collaborate with the ESAT Gaillan Richelieu de Floirac, which contributes to the socio-professional integration of people with disabilities.
Nidoo is a coffin for small pets recycled from newspapers that offers a second vegetable life to the deceased. In 2013, it obtained more than $ 18,000 on the crowdfunding platform Ulule (under the name "Coffin") in addition to a grant awarded by the Fondation Jeunes du Crédit Agricole. The idea was inspired by Arthur's dog: his father buried it in the garden and planted a rosemary on it.
Distributed in veterinary clinics, it will allow many owners to pay a worthy tribute to their pet and best mourn it.
