A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE, DISCOVERING BEER
Consumed in all countries, beer is the oldest known alcoholic beverage in the world. Yet only a few know how it's made. Well, discover the art of beer with the B Maker brewing kit. Unlike the standard amateur kit, it is both complete and very compact to fit all kitchen sizes. So, it will only ask of you a good saucepan (5L), a hotplate (gas, electric, induction ...), a spoon, a little sugar and patience.
A good beer, yes! Make it yourself, no thanks? Make a friend, a colleague, relative ... new experiences enthusiast happy and get invited to the first tasting (or best case scenario: all of them!).
A BREWING KIT FILLED WITH TIPS AND FLAVOURS
To brew the best beers in the building and impress the neighbour, B Maker provides you with a complete kit that includes:
■ A high-end fermentation tank
■ A spigot
■ A bubbler
■ A disinfectant
■ A brewing bag
■ A clock thermometer
■ A sugar measuring cup 33/50/75 cl
■ 1 Pale Ale recipe with 100% natural ingredients for 3 litres of beer: crushed barley malt from organic farming, hops, yeast
And to avoid getting things mixed up: detailed explanations of the steps and several tips to improve your brew will be found in the provided leaflet. Follow it rigorously for tasty creations that can make all beer cellars jealous!
A WELL-THOUGHT MATERIEL TO BREW BETTER
The fermentation tank takes the form of a solid food plastic bottle that you will equip with spigot. And this has several advantages:
#1 - The material is less sensitive to light therefore conducive to a better fermentation, a prime step in the beer making process.
#2 - The mouth opening, much larger than that of a carboy, will make it easier for you at cleaning time.
#3 - Filling your bottles will be easier and quicker thanks to the spigot. Dispensing rod days are over!
Better yet, the brewing bag will make malt filtration a breeze. No need for a second tank, take it out and it will drain.
5 RECIPES TO DISCOVER, IMPROVE AND REDISCOVER
The good news is that all the utensils in your kit are reusable. The other good news is that B Maker offers several other beer recipes in kits to try out.
■ The English IPA: Taste an English beer with a malty, caramelized mouth that finishes on a note of citrus and exotic fruits. Also discover the Dry Hopping method and earn points as an amateur brewer.
■ The Blanche (White beer): The perfect recipe for experimentations thanks to its lightness and simplicity. Don't hesitate to play with citrus or tea to personalize this wheat beer.
■ The Pale Ale: Your basic kit's recipe. Blond and slightly bitter, its herbaceous note will refresh your nights. Thanks to your first experience, you can only improve it!
■ The This is Not a Pils: is a reproduction of La P'tite Maiz brewery's Pale Ale known for its tropical fruit aromas . A light foam preserves the fine and delicate texture of its flavours.
■ The Saison à la Sauge : a summer tribute, it can however be enjoyed in all seasons. It has the wheat's slightly acid notes and a touch of caramel thanks to the Carared in addition to the refreshing touch brought by the sage.
B MAKER, AN ENVIRONMENT-FRIENDLY BREWING KIT
The B Maker Parisian startup wants to share the art of craft beer while awakening our eco-friendly soul. Therefore, the brewing kit doesn't include empty bottles. Since it will take a few weeks before you taste your first beer, why not take advantage of that time to stock bottles with mechanical corks from cellars or supermarkets? They might be the last if you become addicted to home-made beers!

A common love united engineering students Lucas and Geoffroy: beer. But not only drinking it, the brewing of it gained Lucas interest since his volunteer work at the Paris Beer Week and his "traineeship" at Dudes & Beers. As for Geoffroy, it's an initiation to brewing following a road trip including the tour of the main breweries in Belgium that drew his interest for this art.
B for Beer (obviously!) and Maker's M to emphasize the fact that you make it yourself: the Paris startup wants to introduce the world of craft beer and democratise amateur brewing. They also integrated ECE Cube in March 2016, their school's incubator, for a better realization of their project. Their kit, inspired by existing kits and enhanced by their experience as amateur brewers, is intended for anyone who want to discover, learn and understand how brewing works while keeping the pleasure of cooking.
Present in several beer cellars throughout France since 2017, B Maker wants to extend its distribution to the international and make the home-brewing accessible world-wide.
