AN IDEA, A PROGRAM TO INSTAL, BRICKS. AND HERE ARE AN INVENTION !

A few words that fully summarize the concept.

Thingz is made to give life to all creative ideas. Makers, technophiles, curious children, this invention may justly awaken the inventor who sleeps in each of us! A bit like LEGOs that are assembled and desassembled, Thingz allows to easily create electronic objects .

THINGZ, HOW DOES IT REALLY WORK?

To create its own electronic object, the Master Kit Thingz consists of a programmable base that will also support the bricks. According to the astute or wacky idea that we had and want to materialize, we will choose the appropriate bricks. Each brick has a particular function. Some display numbers, emit sound, while others are sensors, receivers or even LEDs.

How to use Thingz

AND WHAT PROGRAM TO PARAMETER MY OBJECT?

In just a few minutes, an object can be manufactured using existing applications. However, apprentice coders or electronics enthusiasts will be able to write their own program. This modularity is one of the great assets of Thingz. One can imagine everything. When one gets tired or if it does not work as planned, we can simply undo and create a new electronic object.

FOR WHO ?

Thingz caters to a very wide audience. A 10 year old child who is interested in technology will find it fun to learn about electronics. The spare-time handyman can also experiment and clothe the inventor's blouse from time to time. While a student or an electronics enthusiast will finally have a very easy support to take in hand to create, realize and test all sorts of objects hitherto frozen in the virtual.

With Thingz, it takes a little of resourcefulness and a maximum of creativity!

WHAT CAN BE MANUFACTURED WITH THINGZ ?

■ A wake-up call to be awakened by YOUR own alarm clock
■ A 3 or 4-note electronic piano (to play "Au clair de la lune "or let the Beethoven in you speak)
■ A game of reflex to see who is able to push the button faster following a signal.
■ A weather station (which gives temperature and humidity)
■ A stopwatch or timer (to know if you have brushed your teeth long enough or if your hard-boiled eggs are perfectly cooked)

... other objects of your imagination! Your creativity is the only limit, assemble the "bricks" as you please;)

THE BRICKS

thingz brick

1. The base is programmable. You can plug your components into an object. In addition to a kit, it allows you to make a second object without having to disassemble the first.

2. This brick allows you to interact with your object (switch or button)

3. This brick emits sounds at a desired frequency. Produce on-demand sounds, alarms and even music notes

4. This brick allows you to display numbers from 0 to 9. Possibility of combining several to display larger numbers

5. This brick gives the moisture content in air and temperature to create a weather station. You can also create objects that react according to the climatic conditions

6. Infrared brick allows you to capture the signal of an infrared remote control (that of your TV for example), you can trigger your creations remotely;)

7. This brick illuminates your objects, it can turn on, flash, make flash lights ... Three colors are available.

1. Button that turns on an LED when the button is pressed

#include "Bouton.h"
#include "Led.h"

Bouton monBouton;
Led maLed;

void setup() {
}

void loop() {
if (monBouton.estTenuAppuye()) // si le bouton est appuyé
{
maLed.allume(); // allumer la led
}
else // sinon
{
maLed.eteind(); // eteindre la led
}
}

2. LED flashes every second

#include "Led.h"

Led maLed;

void setup() {
}

void loop() {
maLed.allume(); // allumer la led
attendre(1000); // attendre 1 seconde
maLed.eteind(); // eteindre la led
attendre(1000); // attendre 1 seconde
}

3. Brick sound that plays the "Happy Birthday" melody

Cyril Loucif-Durouge créateur de Thingz, briques électroniques

Behind the original and innovative concept "Thingz", lies Cyril Loucif-Durouge, a young engineer from Toulouse.

Who has never over-slept? Cyril, tired of not hearing his alarm, imagines and makes a revival that splashes his face with water. Clever!

Then it goes beyond this playful aspect and wants to allow "makers" and young scientists to create their own objects from electronic bricks, a kind of LEGO to mount yourself in minutes.

Cyril is convinced that many good ideas can not be created due to lack of time and skills. For fun, learning or to create the invention of the century, "Thingz" allows everyone to manufacture and share his practical or fun invention with the whole world
.
